A Ugandan national called Kabuye Ephrem has get the Rwandan nationality in an official ceremony that took place in Muhanga District this Tuesday. He expressed his wholehearted willingness to respect all the laws governing Rwandan citizen.
Kabuye Ephrem is an native of Masaka District Uganda but he has been living in Rwanda for six years ago. He married a Rwandan wife. He told media that he searched for Rwandan nationality so that he may enjoy the same rights with his wife.
He said that he was keenly wishing to be naturalized Rwandan. He later on married a Rwandan wife the event after which he finally becomes a fully naturalized Rwandan.
The official in charge of migration in the Muhanga District, Senyenzi Francois said that the Cabinet has confirmed Mr Kabuye Ephrem to be naturalized Rwandan according to the Law No 30/07/2008.
The Mayor of Muhanga District, Mutakwasuku Yonne thanked the Ugandan to have embraced the Rwandan nationality through legal procedures.
The Law governing the Rwandan nationality stipulates that a Rwandan national is every person born in the Rwandan soil, everyone who has been adopted by a Rwandan family and raised in Rwanda, every person married to a Rwandan national, to every foreigner willing to be a naturalized Rwandan and whoever Rwandan who has lost his nationality due to unforeseen circumstances.
