The farmers form the neighbors told UM– USEKE reporter that they have urged  officials to deal with the situation but  nothing has been done so far.

They wish that these wild animals should be taken back to forests but their claims were worthless.

The Mayor of the Kayonza district, John Mugabo recognizes the situation and promised that the threatening baboons will be dealt seriously.

He urged the population to be cautious and protect their properties as the baboons attack their lands during the daytime.

John Mugabo promised that different institutions in charge of security issues are assessing the situation and remediate.

The Murundi sector nears the Akagera National Park and baboons are clever enough to be able to jump and get out of the Park and attack people’s properties.
