Yesterday, it has heavily rained in Huye, at the University of Rwanda, branch of Huye ( U0R,Huye). The rain mixed with a snow did not kill a person but witnesses say that roofs of people’s houses have been damaged.
The occurrence of the snow in the area has surprised many people especially the young who never saw a snow in their lifetime.
A local dweller called Mutangampundu told UM– USEKE that she remained in the house hiding as the rain continued to rain. For her, the rain might have spoiled the plantations outside.
News from people living in the campus reveal that roofs of the office in charge of personnel were removed by the heavy winds.
The snow has covered different corners of the University, including the Arboretum where it started melting few hours lately.
