This Thursday, Rwanda National Police showed to reporters belongings that have allegedly been stolen by people from Uganda. Suspects are said to have stolen two cars including a long lorry from Japan and was brought to Uganda.

From Uganda, the cars were taken to DRC before heading to Rwanda where they have been captured by the Rwandan National Police.

The suspect called Mike was caught holding 2 700US$, and three million $ and all the package was given back to Ugandan Police.

One of the witnesses Eng January Bamanzi who works for Climat Works Ltd located in Uganda affirmed to reporters that the whole value of the stolen package is worth 36 million Ugandan shillings.

Bamanzi said that the one who stole their belongings disappeared since last week.

Different security organs shared information about possible areas where the suspect could have gone and was captured Tuesday, this week.

Eng Bamanzi thanked the Police for its professionalism.

ISP Enock Ndyomugenyi from Uganda lauded that mutual partnership between Rwanda National Police and Uganda Police for fruitful outcomes in fighting cross boarder crimes.

The Spokesperson of Rwanda National Police, ACP Celestin Twahirwa said that people who are willing to steal or spoil other people’s wealth should bear in mind that security organs keep their eyes wide open to catch them.

He warned that all suspects will be brought to justice.
