Rwandan Amavubi  stars have won over the ‘Diables Rouges’ with four goals over three in match that took place at  Kigali stadium located in Nyarugenge District. The ordinary time of the match ended while both teams equalized, It became necessary to continue with penalties as to find out which team could continue .

Ndahinduka Micheal was the player of the match after scoring two and giving Rwanda the chance to equalize and then the additional time  came in to give the chance to both teams so that after the penalties, the winning team qualify for the CAN.

The Rwandan team was composed by Bakame, Rusheshangonga, Mwemere Ngirincuti, Inshutinamagara Ismael Kodo, Emery Bayisenge, Mugiraneza Jean Baptiste Migi, Haruna Niyonzima, Sina Jerome, Iranzi Jean Claude, Kagere Meddie and Ndahinduka Micheal Bugesera.

During the first half the Rwandan team tried to score but it ended without scoring.

At the beginning of the second half, the Congolese players were committed to score abut in vain.

At the  56 minute, The Rwandan player, Bugesera scored first and  few minutes Kagere Meddy scored another goal, making the Rwandan fans rejoice.

Despite the willingness of the Congolese to score, the match ended with 2-2, if both matches are taken in consideration( the match played in Congo Brazza lastly and the one played in Kigali).

As the opinion of the penalties was the remaining one  to end the match, Rwandans were able to score 4 out 3 of the Congolese.

The victory of the Amavubi provided them with a ticket to attend the upcoming CAN. Rwanda is now grouped with Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan.
