Both Paul Kagame and Ali Bongo have agreed to remove the roaming charges as to enhance phone calls between citizens of both nations.

Statistics have shown that the removal of such charges between EAC State members has increases phone calls at 700%, thus hoping that it will be the similar case between Kigali and Libreville.

President Kagame said that this is an indicator that setting a common technological framework between nations is possible and can improve trade and communication.

He thereafter reminded that this is one of the key targets of Smart Africa Alliance that Rwanda and other nations are endorsing.

The Head of State of Rwanda underlined the importance of easing phone communication between citizens of neighboring countries and/or from regionally integrated nations, saying that it becomes one of the bounding factors for a lasting integration.

Kagame called private sector actors to back their respective nations in improving internet broadband initiatives as to boost IT related investments.
