Rwanda National Police has arrested six persons suspected of having robbed an amount of 23 million Rwf from a local bank.
According to the Police, one of them is Kavamahanga who was a security keeper while another one is Maniraguha operating as a manager of the bank.
Police informs that the bank robbery was done last Saturday and the investigation continues to arrest other persons linked to this robbery.
The Spokesperson of the Police in the West Province, IP Theobald Kanamugire told us that during the investigation, four million Rwf were found hidden in the Kanyamaanga’s house.
Meanwhile, Kavamahanga pledges guilty explaining that the manager handed him with four million before leaving the office.
Before he left, Maniraguha gave me four million Rwf telling that he will be back soon to take another amount, he explained to the Police.
After a while, he was back accompanied with six other persons and they took the money Maniraguha left in waiting, Kavamahanga narrated.
All the suspects are in custody at the Gihango Police station while the investigation continues.
