During His visit to Rulindo district, the President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame urged the Rulindo District residents  to protect the infrastructures that took them time and energy to build.

Kangwage Justus the Mayor of the Rulindo revealed to the gathering that  Rulindo district residents have  economically  emancipated and are currently enjoying  improved livelihoods.

Mayor Kangwage told the assembly that farmers from Rulindo have increased the agricultural production that helps them to enjoy  food security.

He said that the exportation of agricultural products have increased at an extent that 14 tonnes of different  crops are exported annually at the international markets.

In Rulindo district, geological research has revealed  that  natural minerals including precious stones can be exploited  in the  underground soil of the District and Mayor  Kangwage finds this very promising to the development of the district he heads.

In Rulindo district different learning institutions has been set up as to promote knowledge among Rwandans including one university( UNATEK) and many secondary schools.

President Kagame commended Rulindo residents for the achievements in different domains including infrastructures  such as Kinihira hospital and a road that joins Rulindo to Nyagatare districts.

H.E Paul Kagame promised to the residents of Rulindo a clean and practical road that the residents have asked for will be built soon in collaboration with all concerned partners.

President Kagame reminded to Rulindo residents that a quality education is the only key that the is able to bring upon an effective change among the population.

The Head of State underlined the importance of security to make the infrastructures last longer.

None can give you the security you wish. It’s on your own duties to search for it and keep it intact, President Kagame said.

Normally people raise a lot of concerns when President of the Republic visit them, but in Rulindo few cases were raised by residents.
