The RFTC transport agency has brought 25 new buses to ease transport in the Kigali City. This is the first package from the 200 buses to be provided according to RFTC management staff.

Transport system in Kigali privatized to three private transport companies as to improve the services delivery nut still some challenges are observable.

Col Twahirwa Dodo the CEO of the RFTC announced that not less than other 15 more cars will be provided to users.

The RFTC has financially contributed to purchasing these cars but the rest of money is a bank loan. The total amount of money to buy these 200 buses is worthy over one billion Rwandan francs.

Fidel Ndayisaba, the Mayor of Kigali city commended the efforts of the RFTC head staff to be active in providing desired transport services to Kigali dwellers.

The increasing urbanization requires huge transport infrastructures and facilities to help Kigali city dwellers conduct their businesses in an effective way.

Permits to carry out transport In Kigali have been provided to three winning companies that include: Royal Express, KBS and the RFTC which legally permitted tie conduct its activities into two zones among the four ones of Kigali City.

RFTC conducts its transport activities in Kimironko, Bibare, Gereza Kimironko, Mushunba mwiza, ku cya Mitsingi, Remera, KIE, Controle Technique , in the neighborhood of Urwego and at RDB road before heading to Nyabugogo.

Another zone entrusted to RFTC combines Nyamirambo, Rwarutabura, Mageragere, Nyacyonga, Rutunga, Karuruma, Gihogwe, Jali, Jabana, Nduba before reaching the Nyabugogo tax park.
