The Africa Smart Investment- Distribution (ASI-D) provided 200 laptops to King David Academy secondary school that are meant to be distributed to 200 children who were required to pay 15 000 Rwf and their respective parents will be paying 500 Frw per day until the total amount of the laptop parents will be fully paid off. The total price of one laptop is 219.900 Frw.
Parents can use mobile money payment facility as to pay the rest of money owed to ASI-D.Students who benefited from this incentives said that it will ease learning and boost success.
One the King David Academy students Arthur Intwari affirms that some homework from schools require a quick tool to use such as a laptop and the acquisition of such a tool will help in carrying out that task.
The Head teacher of the school Wilson Mugarura revealed to our reporter that the availability of these tools goes alongside the national education policy that encourages the use of technology in teaching-learning process.
The representative of the Africa Smart Investment- Distribution in that event is in the mood of boosting education backgrounds of students from the early learning stages and it will back them until the university level.
The amount of the remaining package will be paid in different installments in three, six, twelve and twenty-five months ASI-D reveals that this new initiative will help least economically fit families to pay the required amounts as as to pay these tools for their children.
Africa Smart Investments- Distribution has already distributed 6 000 laptops across Rwanda and more schools will be receiving it in the coming years as the program progresses.
