During a court hearing that took place yesterday in Paris Court, the widow of Kavaruganda Joseph who was the President of the Constitutional Court told the Paris court that Simbikangwa is responsible for the death of her husband Kavaruganda.
Using a video conferencing technique, she reminded Simbikangwa the hatred he had towards Kavaruganda.
You Simbikngwa with your own heart and mind, you know very well the role you played in the killing of my husband, she told Simbikangwa.
The death of Kavaruganda is in the shoulders of Simbikangwa especially due to the hatred he has expressed to Kavaruganda longtime ago.
On 23, May,1993 Kavaruganda wrote a letter to the former President Habyalimana Juvenal informing him his fears of death that he felt could be caused by Cpt Simbikangwa.
On 7th, April, the date at which the genocide has started, Kavaruganda was among the first people killed by Interahamwe and FAR soldiers.
In the first court hearing of his charges, Simbikangwa denied any letter he wrote to the President Habyalimana.
This case of Simbikangwa is a historical one that takes place in France. It is scheduled to be closed at the end of the coming March, 2014.
