Yesterday senior officials in Rwandan National  Human Rights Commission including its President Nirere Madeleine and Lawyer Nkongori deplored how some of the international community based human rights organizations assess and report on Rwanda in as far as human rights are concerned.

Lawyer Nkongori told reporters that the way these organizations reports do not reflect the reality on ground.

For him the fact that these organizations mostly portray Rwanda government as violating the basic human rights through torturing suspects, denying access to prisons some of the family members of the detainees, among other cases, is fundamentally false.

The falsehood of these of reports comes from the lack of a scientific field work, meaning they are written(reports) by people who did not contact the concerned people, officials claimed.

Another point of interest that brings upon the falsehood of these reports, lawyer Nkongori informed reporters, is that  its writers ignore what has been done to advocate for human rights in Rwandans in general but keep underlining what they wish to express that tarnishes the image of Rwanda in particular and of Africa in general.

The President of the Commission, Madeleine Nirere backed views of Nkongori, adding that these reports should be written respecting the impartial characters of scientific writing.

For her, their reports should tackle all areas pertaining to human rights instead of targeting isolated cases as is if the rest is worthless.

The officials of the National Human Rights Commission affirmed human rights are protected but the journey continues towards the perfection.
