Madame Mutakwasuku Yvonne the Mayor of Muhanga blamed authorities who do not help inhabitants to understanding the usefulness of paying Mutuelle de Santé Medical insurance fees .She said that during a joint meeting gathering different medical and political authorities of the District. The meeting took place this Monday ,8th ,July at Muhanga District office .
Mutakwasuku said that Mutuelle de Santé staffs do not sufficiently fulfill their duties concerning how they sensitize local population on the issue. She based her statements on the fact that last year the registration rate was 85% while the current one nears 8.8%.
Mayor Yvonne told the authorities that this sensitization should be done in a calmly and a friendly manner ,keeping in mind that if one uses force and harassment to make some else understand the usefulness of an action , it does not bear positive fruits.
Ndejeje the Secretary of Shyogwe Sector revealed that in the area some inhabitants willingly deny to pay the fees while they financially strong enough to do so that are ranking at 7% according to him.
According to Muhanga District, the registration of Mutuelle de Santé is now 8.8% for the Year 2013-2014.
In this meeting they assessed how they can increase the number of registered ones.
The next meeting is scheduled to take place on16th ,August ,2013 where they plan to be having achieved 83% of the registered.
