On 10, April 2014, the ‘Icyizere Group’ members provided the message of hope to their fellow ones from Muhanga District. The message was  that the youth was the one that played a crucial and bad role in committing the 1994 genocide.

The members of the group said that the youth today has to change the history and be active in peace building and economic growth.

After providing a local widow who survived the genocide Mukamana with material support, speakers from the group said that the current young people have a moral obligation to change the history and be the channel through which a new Rwanda will be built upon.

Mudacyahwa Bertin who headed the delegation said that it is the time for the youth to show to the world a different but positive image of Rwanda after 20 years.
We are the ones to change history for a better future, he said.

The elderly widow (80 years old) was a mother of eight children, all killed in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

After receiving the material package, she thanked the youth and urged them to keep on changing the history for a better future.

The package comprised food supplies including rice, sugar, floor of cereals and different household utensils including soaps and body lotions, among others.
