For Malala, being a refugee is a sad experience but it should not let one to be faithless and pessimistic rather one should keep the head high and believe better future is ahead.

Malala Yousafzai met the Burundian refugees in Mahama camp after she visited the widest refugee camp in Dadaab, Kenya.

She has survived a dead shooting done by the Taliban militants from the Pakistani.

This was due to her outspoken courage to defend the rights of Pakistani girls who were discriminated in education by the then government.

In the Mahama refugee comp, she told youth to nurture the optimism for a bright future as the situation might change and then let them regain their motherland, Burundi.

In her speech she reminded that education is a key to achieve a sustainable development and it helps in hindering terrorism from rising among the youth.

The Minister in charge of refugee affairs and disaster management, Seraphine Mukantabana thanked the contribution of Malala in advocating for the rights of girls and hopes that her voice and influence will be of a huge outcome.
