Those young persons told UM– USEKE reporter that they came to street life due to the negligence of their parents who are careless about their positive living conditions.

The young children find their food through begging to by passers  who give them little money, among other stuffs. In the night they sleep outside  people’ houses and shops in Kabarondo commercial center.

The most threatening situation about this relates to the fact that those children will be the adult Rwandans in the future and as the early education is threatened, the future of Rwanda as a nation is compromised too.

Most of them do not have shower, nor clean and decent clothes to wear. They did not receive a significant education background a situation that endangers their future social and economic status.

This happens to these children while there are two orphanages in Kabarondo one called Karibu and  another one called Saka both located  in Kabarondo sector.

The vice mayor of Kayonza , Consolee Uwibambe told our reporter that the concern is known, adding that different measures have been taken as to handle the situation in collaboration with their family  members, especially parents.

For her, this is an issue that requires parents’ involvement and collaboratio. She called upon parents to bring their siblings to school so that they might be self reliant in the future.
