The occasion becomes an opportunity to chat with the children and help them to uphold Rwandan culture values and norms that normally characterize Rwandans.

She told those children that every end of the year is a privileged time to assess the achievement and, consequently, take positive decisions and paths for more achievement in the coming year.

Selected children were aged between seven to twelve years old and came from all 30 districts of Rwanda.
First lady reminded the children that politeness is of a paramount importance both to them and to their parents.

It highlights your family background and helps in increasing one’s self esteem, children learnt.

The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of youth and sports, Julienne Uwacu alongside the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Children, Dr Claudine Uwera.

As Rwanda has increased number of young people, those later ones are required to upgrade their working skills and, therefore, develop the nation at large.
