RPPA authorities claim that the use of ICT will discourage corrupted people and reduce its pace thus encouraging competitiveness and investments.

The use of technology will let every one compete freely for better tender delivery and access in public spheres.

Recently the Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi has recently underlined that corruption is currently observable in public procurement and has reached an alarming level.

The use of ICT in this regard is meant to help investors use time effectively and a moderate use of paper tools while filing for a tender.

The new facility will help users avoid the counterfeiting official documents that tenders aspirants are using. Transparency will more visible and beneficial to each side, RPPA officials say

All efforts combined, however, will not fully eradicate corruption but it will narrow its paths and hinder aspirants from having shortcuts to achieve their ends, Seminega said.

This new technological tool is being tested in different public institutions such MINECOFIN, MINISANTE, RBC, RDB, RTDA, MINENFRA, and in Kicukiro and Gasabo districts.

Currently not less than 275 investors and not less than 60 tenders were delivered through the use of this new tool.
