Interestingly, some of them asked the MPs what if the Head of State disagrees with the popular wishes to amend the Constitution and decides not to run for the third term.

About this, Hon Bamporiki,  present at the event,  affirmed that President Kagame will convene with them and agree to present himself for that term.

A citizen named Kanjangwe Celestin considered President Kagame as the Messiah who saved the lives of Rwandans.

For him, Kagame performed an important task that is to re-establish the dignity of Rwandans and improve their image at an international level.

All Rwandans are aware of his (Kagame) deeds and, therefore, these popular consultations that the MPs are conducting are useless and should stop, he advised the MPs.

The 61 years old Mukarubega Jeanne lauded President Kagame to have contributed on the national unity and reconciliation process when he brought together the ex-FAR and the RPA soldiers and make one and unique strong army, RDF.

Some of the attendants expressed their worries that President Kagame can disagree with those who want him to run for the third term.

Hon Bamporiki comforted them that President Kagame cannot disagree with the population wishes as he never withheld anything important to them.

The participants told the MPs that President Kagame should lead the nation as long as the population still considers him as willing and able.

For them, the term limits should be removed for a Head of State who cares about the population.

Hon Mutimurwa Zeno told the locals that their wishes were recorded and will be reported to the general assembly of the MPs in the coming sessions.
