The Commander of Reserved Forces locally known as the Inkeragutabara,  LT General Fred Ibingira  presided the ceremony of providing new rehabilitated houses to Gisagara inhabitants who survived the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in a ceremony which took place at Gisagara headquarters yesterday.

Local people thanked the President of the Republic of Rwanda his loving kindness and promised to keep the houses clean and lasting.

Mayor of Gisagara Karekezi Leandre was thankful about the houses considering it as a big contribution to survivors’ living conditions especially during this hard period whereby Rwandans are son to commemorate the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

Lt General. Fred Ibingira revealed that these humane activities are being carried out across Rwanda with the aim of assisting needy genocide survivors to overcome their daily challenges.

He revealed that aim of the RDF is not only providing Rwandans with security but also with necessary livelihood facilities to live comfortably.

We innovated these houses as quickly as possible because we wanted survivors to have these houses to be innovated before the mourning and wet period comes, Lt, Gen Ibingira said.

The houses are worthy among 2 million Rwf and 5 million Rwf depending on the innovated area.

All these houses are equipped necessary facilities.
