A family members from ‘historically marginalized communities’ known as ‘Abasigajwe inyuma n’amateka’ were furious to revenge themselves against people who killed their son. The furious people were equipped with spears and machetes but were stopped by Police who told them that it was conducting an investigation on the perpetrators.
Ndayambaje locally known as Budeyi was bitten to death after being caught stealing in the neighborhood. The members of the family that lost its son was furious because the son who was beaten to death was not the only one caught in the affair.
They wonder why their son has been chosen to be beaten to death while he was not alone. For that very reason, men from those families took machetes and spears to revenge and were very furious.
Police station in Gicumbi District told them it was conducting full investigation to find out real causes of the killing of their son so to bring them to justice.
In different places, people who catch suspected thieves wildly beat them at an extent that some of them never recover and die.
Rwanda National Police keeps warning people from revenging themselves and urge them to bring the suspected thieves to recognized authorities to be tried.
