He also noted the problem of food shortage and high prices of food in some past years. Therefore a planned agribusiness can elucidate all these food insecurity  that Africans keep on confronting and lead to market driven agriculture.

“The government of Rwanda   recognizes the social and economic contribution of agriculture and agribusiness to our economy” the Prime Minister said.

When countries do not have many problems in agriculture it helps other sectors like health and education to operate well.

Dr. Agnes Karibata , the Minister of Agriculture, said that this is a big opportunity for Rwandan and international private sectors to talk about business, share business ideas and business plan presentation, which can result into a positive collaboration between Rwandan investors and international ones.

In Central and East African countries, agricultural production needs to be empowered than before. Some products like cassava, maize, potatoes, rice, beans and vegetable must now be industrial like coffee and tea.

For the success of these agribusiness projects in Africa, banks also must intervene so that farmers can get credits and take their projects any further.

These farmers also must be informed and trained on how better to cultivate professionally. Now that a big number of Africans live on agriculture, farmers should not cultivate to get their daily food but for both food and money.
