Rubavu,Rutsiri and Nyabihu Districts residents urge the RNP to intervene so help them safeguard their cattle.According to the herdsmen from the above Districts,robbers still their cows and this has become a serious issue as those robbers are released after being brought to local authorities.
Umuseke reporter asked herdsmen and inhabitants from all districts above and told him that robbers are among the neighbors who steal their cattle and sell them in DRC Goma
Munyantore , a resident from Gishwati told Umuseke this is rooted in the culture of impunity where robbers that are brouhght to Plice are released very soon as if they did not rob people.
Mutware Justin says robbers enter houses to steal and sometimes kill household members.
Recent;ly, robbers stole a solar power device worthy 2.5 M Rwandan Francs from Kiaka Cooperative in Nyakiriba ,Rubavu District. They seriously wounded a security keeper from a neighboring secondary school.
Sebikari Munyanganizi ,The Sector Executive Secretary told Umuseke that strong measures to strengthen security are taken to ensure full security of residents abut underlined that inhabitants are to provide relevant proofs testifying the robbery.
For him both RNP and Sector authorities strive to set structures and systems to eradicate these threats.
