The theme and activities will be focusing on the fight against the genocide ideology and its proponents.
The emphasis will also be put in educating villagers about the core importance of remembering and why every Rwandan is entitled to do it in a respectful manner.

The participants said that one of the key issues to be made clear to the rest of Rwandans is to understand what the genocide ideology is all about and how its proponents spread it worldwide.

The consultative meeting was attended by all stakeholders in the fight against the genocide including banks, NGOs and government based institutions.

Genocide survivors’ organizations were also present in the meeting.
These organizations urged the management of the CNLG to inform them earlier so that they(institutions) be well prepared for the event in advance.

They also urged the CNLG to provide them with a fully settled list of benevolent activities to be carried out in the commemoration period so set up needed budgets.

Stakeholders said that CNLG should be assessing how the budget is used and whether the needed results were achieved.

At its side, the CNLG urged the stakeholders to provide genocide survivors with long lasting aids that will be useful for longtime instead of providing small consumable ingredients that end up quickly.
