News from the 7sur7, say that 10 cases of Rwandans to be tried by Belgian courts are already prepared. The investigation for seven people among the ten has been completed.

A special committee in charge of the cases remains the only one to confirm the cases to be brought to justice.

Eric Van Der Sypt who heads the investigation committee in this cases affirmed that juridical procedures are likely to start next as criminal investigation continues and will take a relatively long period of time.

There is no Rwandan who has been tried by Belgian justice for his/her alleged involvement  in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Few similar cases happened in 2001 and 2019 where the Belgium justice charged  Rwandans for their alleged war crimes.

Very recently, French justice has found Captain Simbikangwa responsible for his active involvement into the killing of  the Tutsi in 1994 Genocide and sentenced him to 25 years in jail.

Names of the suspects  to be tried in Belgium are not published yet.
