In the press conference Star Times company representative Muhire Hussein explained to Rwandans that the recent TV viewers’ problems to watch RTV and TV 10 were cause by the Go TV’s bandwidth which was huge enough to interfere with the existing Star times’ capacity.

Kamanzi said that the RURA (Rwanda Utility Regulation Authority) did not assess the exact bandwidth of the GoTv  and allowed the company to operate thus to create an interference to RTV viewers who use the Star Times antennas.

He added that in order to hinder this from happening again the Government regulation authority RURA will no longer allow any private r public telecommunication companies without assessing and regulating their connectivity capacities.

This has caused a huge TV interferences to our clients living in Gatsata, Kivugiza, Rebero, Gahanga, Masaka , Kabeza but especially in Nyamirambo.”

He promised that the problem has been resolved, adding that in case some problems persist, Star Times has set up an open week allowing the  its clients to define all the challenges they encounter to as to resolve them. This open week will start this coming Monday, he said.
