The Gakondo group crew members namely Masamba Intore, Jules Sentore and Daniel Ngarukiye trilled the Zurich university students and staff comprising both Rwandans and non-Rwandans.
The concert aimed at backing Rwandans in the 20th commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. The three artists took a plane towards Switzerland this Tuesday and performed two days ago. Jules Sentore told UM– USEKE that despite its characters of commemorating the genocide, non- Rwandans who live in Switzerland were reminded about the key values of the Rwandan culture.
Both Rwandans and foreigners lauded the economic development that Rwanda has achieved 20 years ago, after the Genocide took lives of one million Tutsis.
According to the agenda, the Sentore and Ngarukiye will come back on April, 22, 2014 but Massamba will return afterwards as he has his personal businesses to deal with.
