News say that a routine checking  to find out  whether the  soldiers hide illicit drugs and other illegally-accepted tools  angered them and started to quarrel. That is the reason why the Police and RDF fired on air to calm the situation.

One of the reporters on ground said that Rwanda National Police and Military elements are patrolling the area and do not allow none to enter the camp.

M23 elements in the camp stroke by stoning the security keepers around and according to the on-ground  reporters, bullets were fired to calm the situation.

Umuseke searched for clarifications by asking RNP Spokesperson in Eastern  Province,Supt Emmanuel Karuranga but he said that he was attending a meeting.

Minister Seraphine Mukantabana told Umuseke  that a special meeting is talking place to assess the situation before any further explanations can officially be issued.

Shortly after different meetings  took place,Minister Mukantabana told Umuseke that Police intended to search on the camp to find out whether soldiers might hide drugs or other tools they are not allowed to have in the camp but the soldiers did not accept and stroke.

ACP Badege Theos said that this misbehavior might have been caused by the ignorance or carelessness about the law ruling Rwanda.

The M23 elements are  hosted in Rwanda  temporarily, waiting  for a recognition of their quest to be given a legal exile to Rwanda.

DRC authorities had issued arrest warrants to M23 leaders that fled with these elements but Rwandan justice refuted these warrants  finding them not convincing enough to arrest them.
