At the Remera Polise station located in Kimironko, this Monday, the National Police has shown to media five persons suspected to have stolen high value electronic devises  in different corners of Kigali and in its neighborhoods. The stolen devises include TV flat  screens, Laptops, cables,  different audio and video  music players, among others.

Some the suspects have pleaded guilty while others denied their involvement.  The Spokesperson of the RNP in Kigali city, Spt Mbabazi Modeste told media that these devises have been stolen in many months ago and  the robbers sold them separately.

One of the suspects  called Rurangirwa Eustache who was a metal welding worker denied to talk to the media.

Another one called Baptiste  pleaded guilty and asked  for forgiveness. He said he has been involved in these illegal activities by his so-called friends including Rurangirwa Eustache .

Another one called Hakizima Theophile was caught holding a metal stick they used in destroying houses before entering and  steal these devises. He also asked for apology due to his alleged involvement into these activities.

Some of the people who laptops have been stolen, Gatera Seth who was working for the ‘Dash-S Technologies’  received the nine laptops. He thanked the Police efforts which resulted into the finding of these stolen computers.

 Supt Modeste Mbabazi told media that the Police continues its searches as to find the master keys that are able to open all doors possible.

Fortunately, those robbers  did  not kill someone. The Law in its 301 article stipulates that all people found guilty are to face imprisonment between 6 and 2 years in jail.
