Despite his lack of arms,Ndabaramiye rides a bicycle. He wants to travel ½ of Rwanda to show handicapped Rwandans that disability is not inability in itself.

The rider without arms

His arms were  cut  off  by Abacengezi militias  when they were fighting against the RDF in the Northern part of Rwanda in the aftermath of 1994 These militias took them  out of their houses and  brought them in a hidden place where they cut their arms, legs with machetes.

Currently Mr.  Ndabaramiye is an employee in Ubumwe Community Center that trains people living with disabilities to become  entrepreneurs to integrate the normal life .He rides a bicycle as any other good rider can do it if skilled in the exercise.

Look at the Cooker

For him, all is possible as he is able to cook a cassava bread lunch. His arms are strong enough to do all that job.

For his trip, he plans to travel from Rubavu-Nyabihu-Musanze-Gakenke-Rulindo-Nyarugenge-Kamonyi-Muhanga-Nyanza-Huye-back Kigali-Rwamagana-Kayonza-Ngoma-Gicumbi-Bugesera.

The heavy rifting expert, always without arms nor breakdown machines.Just motivation!

“My target is to let the general public know that physically handicapped people are as able as people without disabilities in specific areas of living”.Ndabaramiye continues.

He has fellows who will accompany his in the trip to make it a success.

He revealed to Umuseke Reporter in Rubavu that he has no sponsor. “No sponsor but nothing will hinder me from launching my trip”. Ndabaramiye added.
