The meeting was held on the margins of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, and focused on the theme: “Global Partnership towards Harnessing the Demographic Dividend in Africa.”
The First Lady took part on the interactive panel discussions, discussing the theme: “Implementing the AU Roadmap to Harness the Demographic Dividend in Africa: Ending AIDS by 2030.”
Rwandan First Lady is pioneering in promoting the girls’ rights and inclusion in different sectors especially in education.
In New York, she attended the ‘She Trades’ meeting in which business opportunities were debated as to allow one million women being connected to the world market not later than 2020.
