Japanese Ambassador happy with close defence cooperation with Rwanda

H.E Kazuya Ogawa, Ambassador of Japan in Rwanda today met with the Minister of Defence, Gen James Kabarebe. His visit was aimed at enhancing defense cooperation that always exists between Japan and Rwanda.

Ambassador Ogawa said”We have close cooperation with the Ministry of defence, for example yesterday I visited Rwanda Peace Academy whose building facility was funded by the Government of Japan.

We are putting more effort for peace consolidation and peace building. Furthermore we are closely cooperating in South Sudan where 300 Japanese Defence Forces are working together with Rwandan troops.

We are really in good relations with Rwanda and we would like to continue this good relation”.
