Gen Musemakweli tells RDF troops sent to CAR to keep its standards high

Lt Gen Jacques Musemakweili urged the Rwanda Defences Forces troops who packed bags for peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic to keep its discipline high as to effectively fulfill its mission. RDF troops were taken to CAR after other troops are back home after effectively accomplish their peacekeeping mission.

Reports from varying international charity organizations condemn some acts of sexual harassment committed by some UN peacekeeping soldiers across the world.

Recently the Ghanaian troops operating in South Sudan troops are allegedly accused of having sexually assaulted South Sudanese girls.

Rwandan troops operating in various countries are lauded by different officials in their respecntive countries for their effective service delivery and firm discipline they display.

RDF troops from the Third Battalion are the ones sent to Central African Republic in peacekeeping mission.

The communiqué released by the Ministry of Defense informs that Lt Gen Jacques Musemakweli had a visit to the military base where the Third Battalion camped and urged them to keep RDF standards high throughout their service.

He told them to improve more than their predecessors.

The same call was made by the Third Division Commander Maj Gen Alex Kagame who accompanied troops at the Kigali International Airport where they embarked towards Bangui.

The Rwandair flough with 240 RDF soldiers to Bangui where it took the same number back home.

Soldiers who came back home are part of the First Division under the command of Maj Gen Mubalakh Muganga.

He welcomed them at the airport and lauded them for a good job done in CAR.
