Yesterday during a cerebration of Burundian Independence Day, President Kagame told Burundians that we are brothers who share same historical and cultural backgrounds.

He underlined the importance of this brotherhood and assured them that nothing will break this relationship.

Among dignitaries present at the occasion involved President Uhuru of Kenya alongside many other high ranking officials of Burundian government.

According to President Kagame’ website, Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi called upon his fellow citizens to create peaceful neighborhoods and keep them strong so to build a prosperous nation.

At the other hand ,H.E Paul Kagame reminded Burundi and that against all odds Rwandans and Burundi and will remain united as brothers and sisters who share common cultural and historical backgrounds.

Rwanda and Burundi got their respective political independences as former Belgians ‘colonies’ in 1962.
