The US Embassy in Rwanda conducted a press conference where it assured that whoever will be elected as the new USA President will be more friendly with Rwanda as both countries nurture strong relations. The USA citizens are currently voting the new President to replace Barack Obama. The race involved Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

The currently statistics indicate that Republican Donald Trump is in advance as compared to his rival Hillary Clinton representing Democrats.

The US Embassy in Rwanda assured that whoever will be elected among the competitors will follow legal framework that govern USA.

Either Trump or Clinton  are bound to respect the USA foreign policy. Depending on the fact that bilateral relations between USA and Rwanda are positive, either candidate will apply policies that uphold these relations as Kidd Brooke has said.

Brooke who is in charge of migration in the USA Embassy in Rwanda said that the aftermath of the fiery elections in USA will be peaceful.

She revealed that USA citizens living in Rwanda are numbered between 2500 and 3000 and most of them casted their votes.
