The recently appointed Chief Commander of the UNUSMA, Gen Kazura will be assisted by a French General Saint-Quentin as written in press. How will it be possible that former opposed army commanders will collaborate in a successful way?
One can ask him/herself suck a question. During the war of liberation of Rwanda (1990-1994) both Generals were fighting in that war in opposed different armies, RPA Vs FAR. Generals are going to work hand in hand to keep peace in Mali.
The 52 years old French General Saint-Quentin is a commander of French brigades embodied in Opération Serval that is located in Mali, Northern Mali to neutralize terrorist groups in Azawad ,Northern part, against Bamako regime.
Saint-Quentin was a key witness against the Jean Louis Bruguière paper accusing RPF to have caused the clash of the Habyalimana presidential plane where he testified that the document was worthless.
General Kazura speaks both English and French fluently.
Their collaboration is a key in the successfulness of the UNUSMA mission in Mali.The collaboration between both Generals will be an added value to the military performance against the extremist Muslim groups in Azawad.
General Kazura will leave Kigali after being confirmed by the UN Security Council. Few soldiers will accompany him.
