The longest stage of the Tour du Rwanda(Nyanza-Rubavu) is won by Simon Pellaud. He therefore becomes the yellow jersey beholder taken from Rwandan Areruya Joseph. 70 riders started riding from Nyanza towards Rubavu early this morning. It is 180 long with hilly and cold regions.
The journey towards Rubavu has to pass through areas including Ruhango Muhanga, Kabadaha, Rugendabari, Ngororero, Cyome, Cyapa, Ngororero center, Byungu center, Rugarambiro, Rurambo, Kabaya, Nyabihu district.
From there riders will enter Gitebe, Giciye, Rambura in Gasiza, Mukamira ,Musanze before entering Rubavu.
They are meant to enter Rubavu via Jenda, Kora, Shaba Kijote of Bigogwe.
After entering Rubavu they will ride in regions such as Nkamira, Bazirete, Nyundo, Pfunda, Rugerero, before entering Gisenyi city.
