News from the Ministry of health inform that its five staff members are jailed due to ‘their alleged involvement in the misuse of public funds allocated to the Ministry’.
Among the officials concerned is Nathan Mugume who worked in Rwanda Health Communication Center Division, RHCC and as the Spokesperson of the Ministry of health.
Information says that the jailed ones include Nathan Mugume, John Jovite Maridadi who worked as a Technical assistant of UNICEF to RBC/RHCC, Fulgence Kamali formerly working as media officer in RBC/RHCC and Richard Kampayana who worked as treasury manager in RBC.
The Spokesperson of the Rwanda National Police did not provide us with details about the news but promised to deliver it as soon as more facts will be found about the issue.

Recently the Minister of Justice briefed media and highlighted that meticulous investigations on the misuse of public funds are being carried out and all the suspects will be brought to justice.
