Motorcyclists and  drivers of cars told UM– USEKE reporter that after putting the gasoline in the engines, the later ones went off after few kilometers of the  journey.

Many of them returned back to the station to claim for their money with additional fees for the time lost without working.

Mbarushimana John, one of the motorcyclists  told Umuseke that the station servants are to pay them back the money because  they are the ones who provided them with the diluted gasoline.

Niyigira Jean de Dieu, the manager of the station, told Umuseke reporter that this incident has been caused by heavy rain causing  water  to enter  the pipes and reach the pit containing the gasoline.

He added that the station is willing to pay the money but not the additional fees for the day without work.

For him, the station is not to pay these additional fees because it was on its intentions to provide the diluted gasoline.

Niyongira denies the claims the accusations according which the pipes are spoiled and that this might have facilitated water to enter the pit of gasoline.

The remaining challenge for the station is to know whose motorcyclists  had taken the gasoline from the station or who did not.

Meanwhile, the motorcyclists have brought the case to local police station in Rubavu.
