Last night in Burera District North Province of Rwanda a RDF soldier stopped a alleged drug dealer named Fidel Mbonyinshuti but the later refused to report to him. As he( Mbonyinshuti) tried to fight against the armed RDF soldier, this one shot him down and he died.
The RDF soldier belongs to the 25 battalion stationed in the Northern Province. Reports from Burera told Umuseke that the dead man was a renown drug dealer who purchased them from Uganda and sold them in Burera district and in its neighborhoods.
One of the local leaders confirmed the news to Umuseke.rw but declined to provide more detailed information about the issue claiming that the RDF Spokesperson Lt Col Rene Ngendahimana is the one better positioned to provide further information.
Umuseke.rw tried to contact the RDF Spokesperson Lt Col Ngendahimana more than once but in vain.
The dead one was suspected to have smuggled illicit drinks such from Uganda to Rwanda.
