Kigali city officials have decided to demolish the Top Tower Hotel due to the fact that it is illegally constructed and does not fit construction standards.
The decision has been taken by the Kigali city decision makers and the demolition activities are currently being carried out.

Glasses of the tower are removed and other items have been evacuated before caterpillars start demolishing the building.
Doors and pavements and doors have been removed and a relative number of construction workers are at the site to demand jobs.
In 2015 the tower was inspected and found unfitting with the standards set up inspectors.
The location is home of modern and standards buildings including Kigali Heights and the former Kigali Business Center where more modern buildings will be set up in the near future.
