This 3 billion Frw worthy waste recycling factory is located in Nyanza district and is meant to recycle all waste collected from all parts of the district. Formerly all wastes collected from Nyanza district were taken off to the neighboring Ruhango district as locals told Umuseke.
The Mayor of Nyanza district Ntazinda Erasme said that the infrastructure will help in managing all the waste and garbage collected from all over the district as to help locals avoid illnesses that would otherwise be caused by these wastes.
The wastes are collected from all schools, homes and from other institutions located in Nyanza district.
‘These wastes will eventually be transformed into fertilizers to help us in boosting agricultural production as one of the locals named Rosette Mukakibibi testified to our reporter.
Its construction was carried out with the partnership of WASAC and LVWATAN/Lake Victoria project
