It was to back Rwandans in the ongoing commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi that the StarTimes commemoration company has provided the widows  and orphans with electric power installations to help them love decently.

The StarTimes staff was in Nyamagabe to provide the support to local dwellers during the UMUGANDA that took place this Saturday. After the Umuganda , the staff visited the Murambi Genocide memorial centre where 50000 Tutsis were killed by the Interahamwe while the French soldiers had  a military base in the area.

The CEO of the StarTimes Rwanda, Hans Huo said that what he saw in the site was inhumane which could not happen again.  He said he will report to his fellow nationals about what he saw at the site.

Before the visit to te memorial site, the staff visited the widows in the Gasaka sector and provided them with 25 kilos of rice, 15 liters of cooking oil and soaps for hygienic ends.

Mukagakwandi  Berancille  one of the widows who were provided with electric power tanked the StarTimes  for the package saying that she likens to  light of remembrance
