The Moroccan King Muhammad VI has arrived in Kigali during the later hours and was warmly welcomed by His Excellence Paul Kagame. The King arrives in the region for the first time and is expected to have talks with the President Paul Kagame in different areas regarding economy and bilateral relations.
King Muhammad VI is expected to visit other regional countries such as Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Mohammed VI was accompanied by different dignitaries including his advisers such as Fouad Ali El Himma and Yasser Znagui.
His delegation includes the Minister of foreign affairs Nasser Bourita and the one in charge of internal affairs.
It features also the minister of finance Mohamed Boussaid and the Minister of agriculture Aziz Akhannouch.
President Kagame has visited Morocco in June and urged the monarch to join the African Union after it left the union due to political reasons.
According to the Morocco’s WorldNews, the monarchy is searching more ties with Sub Saharan Africa as it is an economically emerging part of the world.
Both leaders are expected to hold bilateral talks and conduct a press conference.
Rwanda and Morocco will open embassies to increase more partnership and ties for the benefit of both nations.
