They were sensitized by staff members of the Afflatus Africa company that aims at helping young people to become future entrepreneurs through what is it calls ‘willing is winning’ program.

One of the beneficiaries named Benithe Isingizwe from the IPRC Karongi, expressed her thankful thoughts.

It was wonderful to be a part of willing is winning training, you can’t imagine how I learnt many things that will make my future brighter, she said.

Isingizwe said that before attending that training she believed volunteering was a waste of time.

She however changed her perception about that and knew that volunteering is a great opportunity of gaining skills that are helpful in future.

I realized how fabulous it is to have a mentor in my life, someone who guides me in all activities, she added.

Benithe Isingizwe ended by encouraging that Afflatus Africa team members to keep training as many young people as possible across that country.

As he concluded the training, the Founder and President of the Aflatus Africa Ganza Kanamugire Bertin said: “ We believe that the time youth spend watching movies can be used to get experience that will be of a great importance in the future instead of spending much time on the social media”

Willing is winning is a program of Afflatus Africa. It aims to unveil the benefits and enhance the impact of youths in volunteerism.

As evidenced that the African population is younger than any other continent, Rwanda is not an exception. Over half the population is under age 19.

So far, Afflatus Africa has trained about 430 youngsters on different topics  including making an adequate CV, making a report, getting prepared for a job interview, public speaking skills ,…all those accompanied with volunteerism as the main topic.

After the 5th edition of Willing is winning, Afflatus Africa is willing to go on with the project in all districts of Rwanda.
