1992 — Sporting Lisbon: Works as translator to legendary boss Bobby Robson before becoming more involved in team affairs – paving the way for a meteoric rise to managerial stardom. HIGH

1993 — Porto: Follows Robson to Portuguese giants, before accompanying the great man to Barcelona as assistant coach in 1996. HIGH

000 — Benfica: Lasts just nine games as coach of Benfica before quitting due to a boardroom struggle — a decision then club president Manuel Vilarinho would live to regret. LOW

2001 — Uniao de Leiria: Rebuilds reputation with Portuguese minnows, leading them to their highest-ever league finish of fifth. HIGH

2003 — Porto: Having rejoined Porto – this time as boss — in January 2002, Mourinho led the team to a terrific treble of league, cup and UEFA Cup success. The latter came with a thrilling final win over Celtic, with Deco, Ricardo Carvalho and Paul Ferreira all starring. HIGH

2004 — Porto: Mourinho went one better the season after, sealing shock Champions League glory with a 3-0 win over Monaco in the final. 2006 — Chelsea: Retains the Premier League title, making it four domestic titles in a row for the Portugeezer. HIGH

2007 — Chelsea: Wins the League Cup but is knocked out of the Champions League semi-final by Liverpool thanks to Luis Garcia’s ‘ghost goal’. Wins the FA Cup against Manchester United but a poor start to the new season sees Mourinho make a shock exit from Stamford Bridge. LOW

2009 — Inter: Continues great success by winning Serie A in his first season. HIGH

2010 — Inter: Guides the Italian side to an amazing treble, winning the league, Coppa Italia and the Champions League. Victory over Bayern in the final sealed glory — but Mourinho may have got the most pleasure from knocking old club Chelsea out in the last 16. HIGH

2011 — Real Madrid: After leaving Inter for Real, Mourinho had a mixed first season. His side crashed out of the Champions League to arch-rivals Barcelona in the semi-finals. And despite winning the Copa Del Rey, he marred the Super Copa clash against Barca that followed by appearing to poke then Catalans’ assistant boss Tito Vilanova in the eye. LOW

2012 — Real Madrid: Romped to the La Liga title, helping Real to the most points obtained in any of the top European leagues (100). HIGH

2013 — Real Madrid: A disastrous defence of their league title sees Real wins nothing and Mourinho eventually leave the club by mutual consent. Mourinho has rows with a host of his own players including Iker Casillas, Pepe and super star Cristiano Ronaldo.
