President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hon.Dr.Akihiko TANAKA accompanied by Minister of State in Charge of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Hon.Albert Nsengiyumva  visited Tumba College of Technology on Friday January 9, 2015.

The JICA President Dr.TANAKA in his remarks appreciated the Japan-Rwanda Cooperation that resulted into such an important achievements in different sectors, where he pointed out the progress made by Tumba College of Technology being one of the East African center of Excellence in Technical Education, Dr.TANAKA said that there should be more innovations for a country to attain economic transformation and this is what the Government of Rwanda is doing which will change and improve the lives of Rwandans and especially the youth that obtain skills from technical and vocational training in the country, he concluded his remarks saying that Japan International Cooperation Agency will continue to provide its support to the Government of Rwanda.

The Minister of State in charge of Technical and Vocational Education Trainings Hon.Albert NSENGIYUMVA in his closing remarks, he started by thanking Dr.TANAKA and his delegation from Japan for Visiting Rwanda, Minister said that as a representative of the Ministry of Education and Government of Rwanda, he thanked the Government of Japan for such an impressive support through JICA that it has offered to Rwanda of which the support for Tumba College of Technology is inclusive because the school provides relevant skills that can make students competitive to labor market not only in Rwanda but also beyond boarders.
