This signature between Rwanda and Japan has been put down today. The Japanese International Cooperation Agency and Rwanda Ministry of Economic plan were the ones that agreed on the package to provide to Rwanda. The package will be used in constructing a road joining Kayonza to Rusumo.
The African Development Bank was also represented by its branch in Rwanda.
The aim of this loan is to construct a road joining Kayonza to Rusumo( Kirehe district).
Japan provided the package equivalent to 68 million$ while the African Development Bank provided 12$ and the Rwandan government introduced 174$.
The project will be used in constructing the road will join Kayonza to Rusumo as to facilitate cross border trade between Rwanda and other EAC state members.
Recently Rwanda and Tanzania have nurtured bilateral ties and aim at boost trade.
