The fighting started in the morning from early 4h00 am today and continues up to now. The news from the ground say that heavy weapons are being used by both sides.

It is hard to talk  to either side to  know which one  has started the shooting due to the war.

The Umuseke reporter in the neighborhood says that local population from cells of Bugeshi, Rusura, and Busasamana in  Rubavu district   fled from their  households  due to these heavy fighting.

The cell leader Mr Mvano Etienne told that  a relatively big number of refugees are entering the cell coming from neighoring DRC.

He added that even if the heavy fighting continues in DRC, Rwandans  living in the neighboring cells do carry their daily activities calmly as usual.

Mvano affirms that the RDF soldiers keeps the situation under control in order to  secure Rwandans.

These fighting arose after both sides failed to agree on means and ways to restore peace in the North Kivu Province. The peace talks were taking place in the Kampala city Uganda.

According news the FARDC army  believes on the support of the Special UN brigade sent in DRC to neutralize the rebels operating in the North Kivu

Recently the International Community has urged both belligerents to sign peace as soon as possible but both sides failed.
