One FARDC soldier has been reported as died after the gunfire which lasted a relatively small period of time in the Kibaya cell, Busasamana Sector in Rubavu district.

The Spokesperson of RDF did not respond to our journalist as to react about the news.

In the past ten months, 16 DRC soldiers were caught as they crossed the Rwandan border illegally. The arrested DRC soldiers responded they did not know that  they crossed the border.

The UM– USEKE reporter in Rubavu district says that the gunfire exchanges were raised by a misunderstanding over the real border limits between Rwanda and DRC as there is no tangible artifact that shows the limits between both nations.

There is no information concerning the death or the injury of Rwandans, both civilians and military.

UM– USEKE will keep informing you as the situation evolves.
